jeff and i are out on vacation this week. staying at the lovely casa de meyer for most of it. doing some st. louis stuff and hangin by the casa's pool if we can.
yesterday we drove up to hannibal and did all of the typical hannibal things. the cave, house, and riverboat. we stayed the nite at a hotel - the quality inn and suites. hung out there last night watching a movie on our portable dvd player that we hooked to the tv.
about 11 storms started rolling through hannibal.
around 2 am - the hotel lost power. it was out until around 3 or so. so not long. but just long enough for us to think that the joke wasn't funny...

No kidding. ;)
Dave and I just went to Hannibal last month and also stayed at the Quality Inn! We did the cave and Main St., but no boat (wasn't the piped-in music annoying?). :) We also walked the 200+ stairs to the lighthouse -- big mistake.
