What are they trying to do by switching the hats? Go Cards.
in season one, episode ten, loralie gave luke the blue baseball cap that he's worn in every episode since - up until last week when it changed to a black hat as a sign of his pain in this whole luke/loralie saga. perhaps he too is getting rid of everything that reminds him of her - the only sign we've seen is the subtle change of his baseball cap.
